TRUST
The age old tale of trust is told,
Here and now as I rust away in fear.
As friends turn into foes,
And family becomes enemy,
One slices another’s throat,
Kin’s blood does flow freely.
Who to trust?
Who to turn to?
Now I seek just one ally,
Ever- present by my side.
My shadow I have come to trust a little.
A little because only when there is light,
It is truly by my side.
Till then fend for myself I shall,
Until this darkness comes to pass.
